Personal and Corporate Security is certainly not a new concept, but today’s immediate needs in an ever-changing and uncertain world bring the issue into finer focus. Those individuals, who may have fallen into the category of Celebrity, Politician, and Business Executive, by their very definition, have increased. The United States, if not the entire world, has experienced a new heightened awareness of security needs. This change brings about the inclusion of individuals into these categories who; heretofore, were not potential targets of terrorism. The rules have changed.
Threat management consultation consists of two basic components:
- A data driven process of assessing risk of violence to a particular targeted individual or group; and
- Intervening with recognized strategies for the purpose of interrupting escalation, reducing risk, and redirecting focus for non-risk situations.
